First off, hi! Hi! This is an indie roleplay/writing blog. I'm Mari, your local Martial Arts nerd. I’m over 21, I am a woman that uses she/her pronouns, and I live in the US (CST). Full transparency, I have ADHD, OCD, an anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, and recurrent anemia, all of which may affect my activity IC or OOC at any time. Basically I'm a Mess™ please forgive me, ily <3.


This blog will be low activity for the most part. My main priority is my Tory and I'm usually hanging out on that blog when I'm not doing things here. I might be slow answering DMs and responding to things here because of that, sorry! If it's something urgent, reach me on my main blog or through my discord, if you have it.

My portrayal is not based entirely on any one incarnation of Selina. I take things from various sources. My portrayal is mixed canon and headcanon based, but my primary inspirations are Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman, recent Catwoman solo runs, and the Under the Moon graphic novel. I do also loosely take inspiration from Zoe Kravitz's Selina, mostly as Selina's "Year One" as Catwoman.


Please do not steal from me. I will cry. Don’t take my headcanons, graphics, or anything I have personally developed whether it is related to a fandom or not. If there’s something I’ve done that you like and want to incorporate into your own worldbuilding, you can ask me about it, and whenever I do give you something, please credit me. I’ve been stolen from more times than I can count on other blogs, and my tolerance for it is nonexistent at this point.


This blog is multifandom/multiverse af. Give me ALL the AUs and crossovers yes please. You CAN specifically reference my Selina and events in our threads in your other threads and headcanons if you want, provided we have established interactions between our muses. I love shared universes, and I think it's super neat.


This blog is heavily affiliated with @punishcrime. If Bruce Wayne / Batman is referenced in a thread, Selina is referring specifically to Claudia's Bruce.

MAINS & SHIPPING

I am open to mains. I am tentatively open to exclusivity, but only if we mesh well enough IC and OOC. I accept up to two mains for each canon character (three under special circumstances). If you want to be mains, feel free to come talk to me about it.


Shipping isn't really a priority here, but I'm open to it. I like having cool dynamics to work with, and they don't always have to be romantic. Nothing inspires me more than having a baseline dynamic to work off of, so I highly encourage you to come chat with me about how our muses will mesh just to establish something!


Selina is naturally flirtatious, but that doesn't automatically equate interest. It's just part of who she is, and she often uses flirtation to get what she wants. If she flirts with your muse, it's not me trying to force a ship, and you definitely should not trust her intentions.


There may be sexual content on this blog from time to time, headcanons or smut. It's not the focus of this blog, but Selina is a grown woman comfortable in her sexuality, so things may be discussed or written. Everything will be tagged as "spicycontent tw" because tumblr has the worst tagging system.

TRIGGERING CONTENT

As mentioned, this blog will contain mature themes and potentially triggering content. I tag triggers as "triggername tw". If you have any specific triggers that you need tagged, you are always welcome to ask me to tag them.


As a side note, it makes me uncomfortable to tag images of people's bodies with anything related to the term "eating disorder", so instead I will tag them as body image tw. Please block that tag if this is one of your triggers because I am not comfortable with tagging those images with the aforementioned terms due to my own experiences with eating disorders.


While most of these aren’t necessarily triggers, I am unnerved by / uncomfortable with the following and would like them tagged:

INTERACTING

This blog is private and will not be interacting with non-mutuals for the most part. Sorry, but everyone deserves the right to curate their own space. I don't do follow for follow, and I don't always follow back immediately because I'm slow and tumblr eats notifications like I eat strawberries. Give me a week or two.


I'm friendly to canons, original characters, canon-divergent characters, and multimuses!


I probably won't follow back if you do not have a rules page. I am also hesitant to follow if you do not have an about / bio, but I may make exceptions, particularly if I'm already somewhat familiar with your muse or I know you beforehand. Otherwise, please have your rules and about available somewhere I can easily access them on your blog.


I will be pretty selective with who I follow back here mainly because, well, the fandom in general intimidates me and I really want to keep a small, clean dash that's pleasant to be on and filled with people who I actively interact with or like seeing around. If I don't follow back, please don't take that personally.


If we are not mutuals, you may still ask me questions, send in requests for drabbles/edits/headcanons, and interact with non-roleplay posts (but if you reblog something from me please reblog from the source if possible; same reblog rules apply). You may not interact with roleplay related things like reblogging threads, liking starter calls, sending in-character asks, and especially do not interact with posts that explicitly say mutuals only. Also, if we're not mutuals, don't message me asking to roleplay. That just makes it awkward and I won't answer you.


Mature and potentially triggering content will be present. I WILL NOT INTERACT WITH ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS OLD. NO EXCEPTIONS. Don’t lie about your age to me for the sake of interacting. I am in my twenties and am not comfortable interacting with people under 18. Period.


I don’t care how you format so long as I can read it. If you need something changed about my formatting in our interactions for the sake of your accessibility, please tell me and I will happily accommodate you.


The best ways to start an interaction with me are to send an ask, message me to plot, or like a starter call. (I don’t do open starters, so don’t wait for one.) For starter calls, I tend to start with something short, often a one-liner, with the intention of building from there. For asks, you are always welcome to respond to any IC ask of yours that I answered, just move it to a new post if I haven't already.


No godmodding/metagaming/etc. I believe in reasonable power levels and not toning down or beefing up muses just for the sake of being on the same playing field in terms of power.


MULTIS: I love you so much and you're doing great. But please specify your muse (or narrow it down to a couple) when liking a starter call or sending an ask. If you don't know who might work, come talk to me and we can figure something out.


I'm a weenie and won't be interacting with duplicates often if at all unless I know you already. I typically block duplicates on sight. It's nothing personal. I love you and support you 100%, the more love to Selina the better, it's just an anxiety thing. (I do make an exception for multis if you have a tag I can block.)

NOPE

This is a safe space for myself and others. I hate drama, and if you are the type of person that likes to surround yourself in it, I don't want your vibes near me tbh. I don't like callout culture as a whole, I think public empathy gets abused easily and a lot of callouts are superfluous, but I do think that sometimes it is necessary when it comes to exposing abusive, predatory, or otherwise abhorrent behavior. There is definitely a difference between exposing a dangerous or nasty individual and screaming on the dash about personal slights that could have been handled in private, though, so if you do the latter, that's a hard block.


I will NOT tolerate any bullying, passive-aggressive or manipulative behavior, vague-posting, [insert]phobia, ableism, terfism, theft, or any toxic behaviors in general. Anon hate, unsolicited “criticism” and “friendly suggestions” that aren't in good faith will be laughed at and promptly deleted.


While this blog may cover a lot of potentially triggering content, there are certain things that I will not write. I will not actively write inc*st, non/dubcon, child abuse, or animal abuse. Some things may be mentioned as part of a muse’s backstory on rare occasions, but don't spring these things on me in threads out of nowhere. Do not follow or try to interact with me if you actively write r*pe or p*dophilic themes in your threads, if you age up minors for smut, or if you engage in transphobic / homophobic / ableist / racist / misogynistic behaviors OOC.


I'm not here for fandom discourse and controversy around what version of [insert] is superior. Let people enjoy the versions that they want to enjoy. Criticism is a natural and healthy thing when it comes to consuming media, but I'm not here for the "you can't like [x] version of [insert] because [y] is better" attitude. If there's a lot of that on your blog, I only ask that it's tagged properly and that there's no asshole behavior attached to the criticism, then we'll be okay.


FANDOMS: I make exceptions for close friends that I trust, but for the most part, I'm not interesting in interacting with characters from Supernatural, 13 Reasons Why, The Handmaid's Tale, Riverdale, Steven Universe, Attack on Titan, The Umbrella Academy, You, Detroit: Become Human, or Hannibal for personal reasons. (You can ask why. Usually it's because I either don't vibe with these fandoms in a roleplay setting or because the creators did something gross and I don't want to engage with their creations.)

I'm horrible at communication. My anxiety is severe and is sometimes so bad that I struggle to hold a conversation. I'm not good at approaching first, either. I rarely do it. If we're talking and I just stop or I never initiate, please do not take it as me not wanting to talk to you. You're always more than welcome to poke me at any time without fear of annoying me! I’m just really shitty at talking to people, even if I've known you for a long time.


I have a discord that's available to mutuals upon request. (Sometimes I post info drops but not at a consistent rate tbh.) I mostly use it for OOC chatting / plotting since tumblr IMs break all the time. I don't really rp on discord often, but I'm open to it!


I don't do passwords; I don't have one and I don't send them in. It's an anxiety thing. However, I also know that breaking the ice can be hard sometimes, so if at any time you want to chat or plot but you're shy or don't know what to say, send a cute cat pic to my IM! It doesn't have to be your cat; you can just pick one off of the internet. It makes no difference to me. I love cats, and they are always a good icebreaker!

When the Sanguine and the Phlegmatic natural tendencies are combined, it produces a people-person who is accommodating to the needs of others.

The Sanguine-Phlegmatic needs to be with people most of the time, but some of the time they need to be alone. They are independent minded and can be very stubborn.
